He fellowed the sound of the scream and found her in step mom's room with the door slightly open which he open it wide immediately to see his step mom lying helplessly on the floor.

He tried to wake her up as kate was busy walking up and down the room but she wasn't responding, so the immediately called the ambulance and some close friends which came and took her to hospital.

In the hospital kate and jude where in the room with other people who also came to see the doctor

Jude On phone while walking around helplessly

"Hello  ."

"How may I help you" 

" I want to speak with my dad now".

"Your dad isn't.,." 

" Good day my son, how are you doing?"Jude dad said over the phone

"Dad you need to come home Anty lucy is unconscious and she was being rush to the hospital pls come oooh"

" What!! Son is this a joke or what, what's going on"

"Dad pls come fast if you can no Time for explaination and bring money too, the doctor said the won't treat her until she  pay the necessary builds"Jude says as he walk around the hospital where other people who came to the hospital wait for the doctor,

The call ended and dad didn't replied him again he try calling again but the phone just rang without him picking up and this got them worried even More.

Kate came and held Jude  that was walking around helplessly dragging him to come and sit beside her in the hospital as the wait for his father's response.

"Jude come and rest here na don't stress yourself" kate said as she make way for Jude to come and sit

"You won't understand kate a lot going on in  my mind"Jude said as kate still hold him and he finally sit with her

"Nothing will happen to her  because if anything is to happen I'm finish so I should be the one getting worried not you brother" kate said as she still held jude's hands even when he had sat with her and this made Jude to be silent for a while.

"I just hope is not what am thinking hmm let me just act this way so that the will suspect and accused me as the one that killed her if she is truly death, people like her doesn't deserve to live, so that could have been me sleeping on the bed helplessly right chai" Jude said within himself as he was sitting beside kate 

Soon the phone rang again as he  pick up immediately

"Is that your father calling again ?" Kate asked as she try to bring her ear close to the phone to also hear what the caller was saying

"Yes Dad"

"I'm not sure I'll be able to do reach there on time but I will be able to send you money ok  so how much is the bill send the total amount of everything  for me" he said over the phone as Jude immediately stood up to go and see the doctor.

2 minutes After Jude might have left to get the total amount of all the bills from the doctor two police came in immediately ,after Lucy's friend Maria also came into the hospital.

"I heard what happened is everything alright? Is Jude here with you too?" Maria asked as she sit beside kate while they two other police stand in guard 

"Jude went to get all the bills that will be paid in the hospital because the doctor said he had to pay all the bills before  they will be any treatment , anyway thanks for coming" kate said

" It ok dr Can i ask you a few questions" Maria said

"of course you can" kate said as she waited for Jude to return

"That yesterday I left her when she said  I should come and eat with her but I couldn't because I had something to do that time  afternoon hmmmm , but today when you guys call me I came to the house but didn't see anyone so I checked somethings around and even open her room to see the dirty plates of the same plates she use to eat yesterday, we took some pictures because I came with some of this my boys "Maria said as she pointed at her two fellow officers

"Ok so what's the question ma" kate asked as she didn't understand what all this talk was leading to.

"Ok what was the last time you saw her that yesterday " maria asked

" Oh it was after the fight between her and brother, when I went to sweep her room this morning I saw her lying helplessly on the floor which made me scream for help" kate said

" So what of jude when last did you see him"Maria asked

" Hmmm yesterday night when he went to urinate and he was just saying the water he drank was too much so he was really moving up and down that night which I made fun of him hahaha  "kate said as she expected Maria to laugh too but she didn't

" Oh I see hmmm" Maria said as Jude came out from where he went to see the doctor 

"Have made payment and the have begin her treatment , thanks for coming Maria" Jude said

" Actually I prefer you call me ma when am on my uniform" Maria said

" Ok ma"Jude said but feeling uncomfortable

" You're under arrest sir" one of the police officer that was standing said getting Jude and kate confused

"Is this a joke or something?" Jude asked as he got confused

" Don't worry Jude it just for questioning"Maria said smiling

" Anty ask him all questions here na he will answer" kate said

" Yes I will ask no need of following you to Else where" Jude replied

"Not need for that Jude, officer take him let's go"Maria said as the took Jude away  and kate started crying and pleading

"He hasn't done anything wrong na he was just here with me even yesterday pls you guys should leave him alone" kate pleaded as the took Jude away.
