"He hasn't done anything wrong na he was just here with me even yesterday pls you guys should leave him alone" kate pleaded as the took Jude away.

Few hours later Lucy's condition was being stabilize but she was still unconscious. Kate sit beside the sick bed where lucy was lying unconsciously, tears were all over her eyes as she didn't know what do to bring her back.

"You promise to send me to school why leave me now na, will all my work for you be all in vain? Madam pls stand up " kate said holding lucy hands. A nurse came into the room to see kate crying.

"Young girl it better you let her rest so she can heal more faster the doctors are still working on the test result so calm yourself down ok" the nurse Said as she came and cover lucy's hand more properly 

"Hmmm anty you won't understand what am passing through right now" kate replied as a doctor move into the room too

"Where is your brother ?" The doctor asked Kate as he opens a file

"Hmmm he was been taken by the police oh I don't know this kind of thing he is innocent" kate said shaking her head as More tears roll down her eyes.

"Don't worry everything will be fine young girl here is the test result it seems your madam as you said took overdose of alcohol which almost took her life but thanks to our machine we were able to extract a good amount of it from her body and we are still doing it , so she will be fine in days or a week ok" the doctor said assuring kate as she gave a sigh of relief

"and one more thing make sure she stay away from drug abuse ok who knows if she could have damage her brain or any important part of her body pls always watch her carefully" the doctor said as he gave the test result to the nurse and leave the room

Soon two police officers came into the room this made kate to be scare 

" What do you want again here?"  Kate said rudely as the both police got confused looking at each other

" Hmm am officer peter our boss sent us to know the out come of the test result done in madam lucy as this will help us in further investigation" one of the officer said 

" Oh that's good here is the test result it was an overdose reaction of a drugs sometimes people got depression you know" the nurse said as she gave the results to the police trying to explain the situation while kate watch them in annoyance

" Thank you ma you have been of great help to us we will heading back to the police station to give our report" one of police said as the both move out of the room ignoring kate's reaction towards them. 

In the police station Jude sit in a dark room all alone.

"I can't still believe that this girl brought me here just to locked me up is because It wanted to kiss her? I never knew she was a police officer na hmm one just have to be very careful in his or her life" Jude said as he sit on a chair.

The door to the room Jude was in open and Maria came in closing the door again as two police were outside the room as the watch everything that's going on.

She took a sit that was in the room  and come sit facing Jude 

"I know you hate me for bringing you here but am just trying to protect my friend and From the report thank God she is getting better" Maria said as she clean her face with her handkerchief and taking note of all jude's facial reactions

"Why the shock look on your face Jude do you expected her to die after you drugs her food?" Maria said trying to know the truth

" I don't know what you're talking about  me? Am not the one trust me I can't do that" Jude said defending himself

" Ok fine then you answer my questions are you ready?" Maria asked as she brought out a pen to write something.

"So have you ever had unresolved issues with your stepmom?" Maria asked

"No not at all I haven't " Jude replied already feeling uncomfortable 

"Hmm I know you're lieing Jude but you can be free with me and trust me with your secret she said dropping her pen and looking straight into his eyes

." I know my friend too hmm and I know she was angry with you even before the recent fight". Maria said

" No nothing happened between us" Jude said

" Hmmm I know my friend so well and if you don't start talking this will be your new home" maria said as she was now angry

"hmm it just that I don't like going close to her that much to avoid temptation because she is my stepmom and I respect my dad alot, but she won't understand she always want me around her and not with other person" Jude said

" Now i understand why she acted weird last time" maria said

" I want to ask you another question"maria said.

"Ok "

"Do you think she is emotional Inlove with you? Because she love having fun with guys you know what I mean, although she told me she has changed because of her marriage so has she ever have the fun with you" Maria ask and she could see  a shock reaction on his face like he didn't expect such question
